The Estevan Oilfield Technical Society (OTS) is a non-profit
organization made up of local oilfield personnel. Started
in 1962, the society was formed to unite oilfield workers
in the local area through social events and to provide a means
to give back to the community in which they were employed.
That same perspective holds true today with the society holding
major functions through-out the year and promoting community
involvement. Each year a golf tournament is held, along with
a curling bonspiel, and a scholarship dinner and auction.
A scholarship is awarded each year for people studying for
careers in the oilfield, and recently, the Lifetime Achievement
Award has been added for people that have spent their careers
in the oilfield. The OTS also maintains 2 parks in the local
area and actively donates to community functions.
To provide means of Oilfield workers to come together and
celebrate success, share ideas, and socialize. We strive to
give back to the community and to promote new employment within
the community. We will continue to provide funding for new
careers and to celebrate the careers of our life long members.
